Senior/Scientist, Molecular Biology

SequLITE Genomics (a subsidiary of Fapon Biotech) is a growing life science company developing an NGS platform to enable sequencing for everyone. We are seeking an enthusiastic scientist to join our NGS Product Development team as a Scientist II or staff scientist, depending on the qualifications. The ideal candidate for this position will be a creative, proactive, and highly collaborative development scientist with profound knowledge in molecular biology or a related field. In this role, you will develop and optimize reagents in the current and future NGS platforms. This position will work with a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers to solve challenging chemistry, biochemistry, and engineering problems.

• Develop enzymatic assays, optimize reagent formulations, and advance into robust, high-quality DNA sequencing products.
• Optimize DNA sequencing with NGS platforms.
• Present scientific results to project teams and internal / external collaborators.
• Write technical documents and SOPs and transfer technologies to different functional groups.

• Ph.D. degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or other biological disciplines; M.Sc. with 4+ years of industrial experience
• Solid wet-lab skills and a firm understanding of molecular biology and/or enzymology.
• Highly motivated individual with a great work ethic.
• Creative problem-solving skills with a track record of independent studies.
• Excellent data analysis skills.
• Good communication skills and team player.

• Someone who keeps current on new scientific knowledge and discoveries to identify opportunities in the biotechnology field.
• Deep understanding of next-generation DNA sequencing.
• Product development experience
